The World of Robots Presented by Jack Burris
|

|
As Educators seek out effective strategies for improving math and science achievement at all levels. Robots provide an excellent vehicle for sparking the imaginations of students with a wide variety of interests at virtually every age. Robots, more than any other technology, represent a kinship between the science we learn today and the technology we will create in the future. Math, science, language, and art come together to produce modern robots.
Your students will be amazed as they learn how robots are used today, and the much larger roles they will play in the future. Student volunteers will help demonstrate a computer-programmable, mobile robot using electronic voice and multi-sensors. Robot pets with video vision and artificial balancing sensors will "wow" the crowd with their playful antics. A robo-one humanoid will show its alltoo-human moves.
Upper grade level students will also gain insights into the technologies that have shaped the digital revolution and the unlimited opportunities that lie ahead for their generation.

“This assembly was the best we had all year. It spurred some of our students to take advanced tech and online classes.
St. Francis Cabrini Middle School - Manitowoc, WI

Absolutely spellbinding! The kids were hooked. Very entertaining, but also very educational. I would recommend this program to any school. It can be adapted to any age level.
Colebrook Elementary - Colebrook, NH

Entertaining, informative, fun.
Hammerskjold Middle School South - Wallingford, CT

We just had the greatest assembly in the entire universe.
Wilson Elementary - Corvallis, OR

The students were engaged at both programs and Mr. Burris tailored his presentation to the varying ages perfectly. It was difficult to get the kids out of the auditorium after the assembly.
Somis Elementary - Somis, CA

WOW! The students loved your assembly. I’ve gotten nothing but raves from every teacher in the building. One of our teachers was so excited because you were presenting the next day at her son’s school in South Milwaukee. Most impressive for the upper grades was how you connected all of the fun neat robot technology to higher education and working up to your potential in school. Important message! If only one student heard you loud and clear what a triumph! Thanks
again for the attention grabbing assembly!
Lincoln Elementary - Cudahy, WI
