Larry is an international lecturer, educator, performer and fancy dancer. Born on the Navajo Reservation in 1958, he has a deep respect for his culture. "Being Navajo, yet growing up away from my people, I realized the importance of culture." He now shares that culture through storytelling, singing, flute playing and dancing! Larry Yazzie is a very personable young man. He speaks very well to a student audience. The audience was completely engaged. He spoke of his background, his spirituality, the importance of Mother Earth, respecting all people and other wonderful points. I was very impressed with his regalia. His performance as a dancer was wonderful. The manner in which he allowed audience participation was just enough. It worked well. His flute playing and singing was superb.
